Jungle Coaster

Jungle Coaster was removed from the park in 2010. The area where it once stood is now the Legoland Resort Hotel.

Jungle Coaster was considered by most to be Legoland's best roller-coaster style ride. Up to 4 people travelled in a "car" and moved along a track rising to the highest level in the park.

There was a 16 metre drop and the cars travelled at speeds reaching around 37 mph (60 kph). There was also sudden starts and stops of the car to make the ride even more interesting.

Although popular with visitors, Jungle Coaster had a troubled life at Legoland. The throughput of riders was poor and that combined with it having (arguably) the best ride experience, meant long queues. Also its location at the bottom of the hill meant it was near residential neighbours who disliked the screams from visitors riding the coaster. Hoods were introduced to cover the occupants and reduce the noise - you can see these hoods in our video. Sadly the hoods slowed the load process even more and reduced the ride experience.
