UGLW: Unofficial Guide to Legoland Windsor
Everything you need to know - and more - about your visit to Lego Land, one of the UK's top tourist attractions
UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO LEGOLAND WINDSOR
You might want to come to, or avoid, the park on these special event days. They tend to be the busiest days of the season and the park will sometimes reach capacity in the early afternoon - meaning people are turned away at the beginning of the approach road.
Having said that, the events are often a lot of fun. They are sometimes staged in a field near Car Park D. There is no extra cost for the special events - just the cost of normal entry to the theme park.
Interestingly there were no major summer events in 2016.
2016 Special Events dates
Sat/Sun 3rd/4th, Sat/Sun 10th/11th and Sat 17th – 24th December 2016: Christmas Bricktacular. The park is partly open and dressed for Christmas, with Christmas trees, lights, an enormous LEGO model to help build and of course friendly elves alongside Father Christmas who you can meet. Around 20 rides are open, including Driving School, L-Drivers, Mia's Riding Adventure and Jolly Rocker. No water rides are open.
31 December: New Year's Eve Celebration at the hotel, including fireworks and an early new year countdown at so you can get the kids off to bed!
